Maternity Pictures

I am officially 38 weeks pregnant, and we are getting excited to meet our little guy. We are thrilled that I have made it this far (considering the scare I had at 34 weeks with low amniotic fluid), and are very grateful that Christmas is over. You are welcome to come any day now baby boy!

We decided to have my mother-in-law take a few pictures to capture this time in our lives. As much as I almost don't recognize myself at times, I want to remember this time and how excited Jeff and I are to meet our little one.

Jeff makes me the happiest!

I also had Jeff take a few pictures of me just at our house and I was pretty happy with how they turned out.

We can't wait to meet you baby boy!

Christmas

On the afternoon of Christmas Eve, my family gets together with my cousins to make sack lunches for the homeless. This is the first year that Jeff and I have been able to participate and it was such a neat experience.

We first met at my Uncle Brent's house to put together over 100 sack lunches. After we finished, we hopped in the car and drove downtown to hand them out to people that we saw on the streets. It was a really great experience, and brought a whole new meaning to Christmas.

Here are some pictures that captured our experience:

I loved this experience, and hope that we can make this a yearly tradition in our family.

After handing out lunches to the homeless, we went to my Aunt Rebecca's house and had a fun evenings with even more cousins. Isn't family the best?!

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Showers & Friends

Since being pregnant, I have realize how blessed I am with such great family members and friends. Here are a couple pictures from some of my showers. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures from all of my showers, but here is what I have:

FRIENDS
Thanks to Jessica Johansen & Michelle Capunay for this amazing shower!

college friends
(Michelle, Kelsey, Andrea, Nicole, Mckelle, Hannah)
childhood friends
(Nicole, Lisa, Andrea)
Lisa and I were neighbors and friends who played dolls together until Junior High (I moved). We have always looked forward to the day when we can have our own "real" children. We are currently both pregnant - me with my first, and her with her second.

Thanksgiving Day

This year we were able to spend Thanksgiving with the Lindsley family. It was fun to see my entire family all on the same day! Since we all live so close (within a hour and a half) we are able to see all of my siblings about once a month. I am so glad that I had my camera with me and I was able to snap a few great family pictures!
My mom out-did herself with a beautiful and delicious Thanksgiving dinner.

This year Thanksgiving has brought on a whole new meaning being pregnant. The most common question I am asked is, "How are you feeling?" I always find myself feeling torn of how to answer this question. Well, let's be honest... most days I feel awful. Throughout different times in my pregnancy it has gotten better or worse, but overall, I almost always feel a little off. So my usual answer to this question is something like this, "Pretty good... definitely pregnant!" What does this actually mean?!

This year I feel most grateful for the opportunity to be pregnant. With all of it's ups and downs, I am grateful for this experience. Despite all of the days I have felt sick, I cannot express the joy that I have felt as I have had the opportunity to witness this little miracle growing inside me. Sometimes I find myself sitting for hours and just feeling our little babe move inside my stomach. It brings me so much happiness and joy! I wouldn't trade this experience for anything. I don't want to always feel this way, but for now, I love it!

We can't wait to meet you, little one.

World Series

I think it's safe to say that October is Jeff's favorite month. As he would put it, "October means black and orange." Normally you would think, oh yes Halloween... but not around our house. October means MLB playoffs, and yes, black and orange would be the GIANTS colors. We have had a fun month watching the San Francisco GIANTS go from being a wildcard team to World Series Champions.

Since joining the Davis family, I am an adopted GIANTS fan. Before we were married, I would have called myself a Red Sox fan, but yes I have definitely switched over. Four years ago (2010) when Jeff and I were dating, it was the first year that I have ever followed the MLB playoffs. When the GIANTS made it to the World Series, naturally the Davis family went to San Francisco to watch their team.

Two years ago (2012), the GIANTS officially won my heart when just Jeff and I we were able to attend games 1 and 2 of the World Series. We had been to a couple of GIANTS games together, but these World Series games were completely different. The atmosphere at AT&T Ballpark was incredible!

This year, the GIANTS made it again to the World Series. So naturally, being a part of the Davis family, we headed to San Francisco. It was a short and crazy trip, but we had a blast! Here are a bunch of pictures:
