Spring Training in Florida

I would consider Harry Potter to be the series of my generation. I remember when each book was released and all of the hype that came with it. Over the last few years I have turned Jeff into a Harry Potter fan as well. We have enjoyed watching the movies and listening to the books on tape together. Last year I read all of the Harry Potter books and set a goal that when I finished, we would take a family trip to Florida and visit the Harry Potter Theme Park (a place I have wanted to go since it opened!). After I completed the series, we heard about the addition of Diagon Alley that would be opening soon and decided to postpone our trip until we could experience both theme parks. Since Jeff attends Spring Training each year in Florida (to visit some of his baseball players), we decided that this would be the perfect opportunity for us to visit Universal Studios and experience the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Here are the highlights from our trip!

We started our vacation with a redeye flight

Thank you to the Davis family for letting us use their time share points, we stayed at the most amazing resort inside Disney World

While Jeff worked, Will and I enjoyed going on walks, reading at the pool, taking naps, and just relaxing. It was such a treat to be able to relax and enjoy the warm sunshine!

We had such a wonderful trip! It still feels surreal that we were able to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. After wanting to go for so many years, it felt like such a dream to actually be there. We feel so grateful for all of the opportunities that we have to travel and spend time as a family, and look forward to our next adventure!

TWO months

TWO MONTHS

* has found his tongue and sticks it out quite often *

* is starting to be able to hold his head up on his own *

* enjoys tummy time *

* sleeps 3 hour stretches at night *

* has started tracking with his eyes, especially mom *

* recognizes mom when he spots her in the room *

* grew out of newborn sized clothes and into 0-3 month clothes *

* grunts and is a very active sleeper *

* opens his hands from fists about half of the time *

* still gets the hiccups often *

* spits up when overeats or with a very full tummy *

* is a great eater *

* loves the bath - just relaxes and looks around *

* likes to suck on a binki when hungry or tired *

* is getting a bald spot on the right side of his head from sleeping *

* learning how to smile *

a glimpse of february

We had such a wonderful February! With this new little addition in our family, we haven't been able to go skiing, but it hasn't kept us away from the ski resorts. Whether it's for breakfast, lunch, or the seafood buffet, it is always a fun outing to go up to Deer Valley and enjoy the beautiful snow.

With the beautiful "spring" weather that we have had in February, we have enjoyed introducing Will to the golf course.

I am so grateful for hobbies that Jeff and I can enjoy together!

We have had such a fun month together. Every day, week, and month makes me love being a mom even more. We feel blessed in so many ways and love our family of three!
