This summer has felt like one HUGE vacation. Jeff and I have been completely spoiled! This past weekend we were able to spend a couple days in Boston, and had such a blast! Here are some of the highlights from our weekend:
We walked the Freedom Trail
| Granary Burying Ground (where Mother Goose, John Hancock, Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and Benjamin Franklin's parents were buried) |
| we saw many churches (this was the Old South Meeting House) |
| we ate lunch at Quincy Market |
| Paul Revere Statue |
| Old North Church |
| Bunker Hill Monument |
| it was refreshing to remember all those who helped make the US what it is today |
We went to a Red Sox game at Fenway (ballpark #6 for the summer)
| Yawkey Way |
| it definitely feels like a MLB summer |
We went down to Cambridge and walked around Harvard Campus
| I was a little bit nervous to touch John Harvard's shoe after watching so many do it before me |
| just hanging out on the lawn pretending we are students |
| should he transfer?! |
We walked around the Boston Harbor
| had lobster rolls for lunch |
| my first time trying lobster |
| the Harbor was beautiful with all of the sailboats out! |
We had such a fun weekend exploring Boston! We feel so thankful for this opportunity to live back east this summer and for all of the experiences that we are having.
Okay this is totally takes me back to our trip there, but we definitely missed out on the lobster rolls! Wow!
